I Didn't know Mr Fields very long but from what I got to know of him he was a very good man and one of the last true Americans. From the minute you meet him you could tell right away he was a true military man born and raised. If it wasn't for Mr Fields this web page it's self would not be possible. He spent many hour very willingly to sit down with me and tell me any thing that I wanted to know. From his life at Fort Saulsbury to when he enlisted in the Army and how he earned his three purple harts . And as far as I know I had the honor to be one of the last people with him on one of his last visits to Fort Saulsbury. I am very honored to have known Mr Fields it Was truly a once in a life time Experience to sit down and get to know such a great man that gave so much to his family and to his country. God willing I will do all I can to keep Mr Felids Memory alive and Fort Saulsburys as long as I'm alive and hopefully long after I'm gone.
