In Memory Of :
Willard Wilford Potter
Date Of Birth: 1927
Place Of Birth:
Milford, Delaware |
Willard was a life time Milfordian and
a great neighbor you could all ways find him working on the
Shockley farm witch is the same Shockley family that the Fort
Saulsbury property was purchased from. I my self didn't know him
that well but he was a long time naybor and friend of my
grandparents I was in the Memorial Volunteer Fire Co of
Slauthers Beach De just out side Milford De for about two years
from 1989 to 1990. I do remember him talking about Fort
Saulsbury now and then when I was in the fire Co with him. I
have been told by many people that his father Benjamin Potter
was a care taker for a few years at Fort Saulsbury I wanted to
talk to him but just as I started this project for Fort
Saulsbury he got sick and was to weak to talk he was a great man
and a great person. Willard we will miss you and I hope I can
keep your memory alive as long as I can along with Fort
Saulsbury. |
